All aspects of the curriculum are taught weekly and these include: Math, Literacy, Science, Guided Reading, PE, History, Geography, Art, Design & Technology, ICT, RE, PSHCE, Music, Spanish and handwriting. In addition to this, the children also gather for regular assemblies, complete group basic skills sessions and enjoy reading for pleasure in the classroom.

Home Learning

Homework is given out on a Friday and collected the following Friday. Homework usually consists of one piece of math homework. As part of their work in basic skills, children will also receive spellings and times-tables homework that is to be learnt and tested weekly. Spelling will be given out on a Monday and there is an expectation and necessity for children to read their reading book every day.

P.E.

PE lessons are planned to be on a Wednesday but could change due to the weather on the day. It is therefore useful if PE kits are kept in school all week and taken home over the weekend. PE kit is a blue T-shirt with navy blue bottoms, it’s also a good idea to send something in case of cold weather e.g. jumper or jacket.
