Mrs J. Williams -  Chamber Class

I have been employed as a Teaching Assistant working within KS2 for 16 years. Since September 2016 I have been working in a Year 1 class so am now experiencing life within KS1.  I have two grown up children and two grandchildren, my daughter is also a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School. I enjoy travelling in the school holidays.

Mr M. Ayyaz - Reception Class

I have worked as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant at St Margaret’s for 6 years. I enjoy working and teaching in small groups and taking part in practical work to aid the children’s learning. My 1:1 role brings me great satisfaction in seeing the progress that my student makes.  I am also a father to two young girls who like to keep me on my toes!

Mrs J. Woods - Fox Class

I am employed as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant supporting interventions in Early Years. I originally started at St Margaret’s in 2001 as a Midday Supervisor and then began working as a TA in 2009. I am really proud of the parent/teacher relationships which we have in the Early Years Unit. I find that every day is different and it’s nice to see each child progress.

Mrs R. Jarvis - Brook Class

I have been employed as a Teaching Assistant at St Margaret’s for 12 years. I have worked in upper KS2 and KS1 and am currently supporting in Years 4, 5 and 6. I have also worked with small groups of children and on a 1:1 basis supporting with Maths. I am proud to be part of a supportive team at St Margaret’s and enjoy the challenges my role brings.  I enjoy travelling in the school holidays and reading. I am involved with the Ashton Churches and am Chief Marshal for the annual Whit Walk events.

Mrs L. Tyre - Twist Class

I have been a Teaching Assistant at St Margarets for 16 years. I have worked under the leadership of three Headteachers. There is a lovely atmosphere here at St Margaret’s and its lovely watching the children grow and flourish.  I am married with two children, who both attended St Margaret’s School!

 Miss F. Jones - Devon Class

I am a 1:1 Teaching assistant supporting a child in Fox Class, which is a KS1 class of mixed Year 1 and Year 2 children. I have worked at St Margaret’s for 3 years and this was my first job. There is a real friendly atmosphere in the school and it is a nice environment to work in. Outside of St Margaret’s I am a scout leader!

Mrs T. Lawson - Durban Class

My journey started off as a pupil at St Margaret’s school! After this my 3 children all attended here and I am now employed here as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. I have worked at St Margaret’s for 15 years, starting my career here as a SEN support in nursery. Following this I worked in Year 2 for 8 years and currently I am working with Year 6. I enjoy coming to work knowing that I can make a difference to a child’s life. I take pleasure in helping the children to succeed academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.  I am a single parent and love football, particularly Manchester United! I have two sons and a daughter.

Miss B. Steeple - Heron Class

I started working at St Margaret’s as an Apprentice Level 2 Teaching Assistant in October 2009. I have since finished my apprenticeship and am now qualified as a Level 3 TA. I work in the Early Years Unit and really enjoy seeing the children develop and progress throughout the year.  I live at home with my parents and I enjoy socialising with friends. I also like keeping active and going to the gym.

Mrs Boland 

I have worked at St Margaret’s for 14 years and am employed as a SEN Teaching Assistant. I am experienced in supporting children with additional needs to encourage independence and self-worth. St Margaret’s is not just a place of work but has become a way of life. A place where I feel valued and happy to be included. I find my role a rewarding one and I can’t visualise myself anywhere other than here.  I have a partner of 25 years and have 3 children ranging from ages 10-24.

I have been employed at St Margarets for over 10 years supporting SEN children from Reception up to Year 5. I love the challenge of working with children on a 1:1 basis and watching them learn and grow into a valued member of school. I enjoy watching the children change and progress through school life and watching their confidence grow so that they can continue on their journey into secondary school.  I live local to St Margaret’s and am married with a family of my own.

I am a level 3 Teaching Assistant and currently work on a 1:1 basis supporting a child in Reception. I love working with the children and staff at St Margaret’s.  I am married with 4 children and 15 fish!

Mrs S Greenwood

I am the Pastoral Support Leader at St Margaret’s. My role involves supporting our children and families, both socially and emotionally. I am also the child protection officer in school and deal with any safeguarding issues. I have been at St Margaret’s for 11 years. I thoroughly enjoy my role and being part of such a hardworking and dedicated team. I also enjoy working with the various personalities of the children in school.  I have two amazing children - a son aged 17 and a daughter aged 15. I love being a mum!
